Following the recent official opening event at our new Auckland Distribution Centre, SafeSmart customers at the top of the North Island are now collecting and receiving their SafeSmart scaffolding products from a vastly improved facility.
The new East Tamaki premises are conveniently located for deliveries to sites throughout wider Auckland, and surrounding regions, and we are delighted that the 20% increase in yard space has allowed SafeSmart Access to make some improvements to enhance efficiency and lift the levels of service offered to our customers.
In addition to a wide and ample range of Proscaf steel and aluminium components on display for sale or dry hire, the fully concreted, 6000 square metre yard has provided an easy drive-in/load-up/drive-out experience for transporters and customers collecting products.
For products sensitive to weather, the large, permanent warehouse building allows SafeSmart plenty of room for a large number of nets, sheeting, temporary roofing, ropes and other scaffolding accessories available for sale, making it easier for our customers to peruse before they buy.
Construction Equipment Available on Site
The Auckland warehouse also houses the recently launched Conquip range of heavy-duty material handling and lifting equipment for construction and civil engineering. Large scale products such as Autolock tipping bins, access cages and concrete pouring buckets for use with excavators are in stock at our Auckland yard, ready to be dispatched directly to site.
A second administration building has given SafeSmart ample space for offices and a Scaff Shop displaying our range of Big Ben tools, branded apparel, lanyards, PPE and scaffolding accessories, which has proven very popular with visiting scaffolders. This spacious dedicated retail outlet has allowed us to extend our range of scaffolding tools and gadgets, so keep an eye on new lines continuing to be added to the Scaff Shop’s offering.
With all this expansion at our Auckland operation, we are very pleased that Christine Bell joined the team late last year in a new Office Manager role for the Auckland location. Ojay and Andrew were delighted to welcome Christine who is keeping things running smoothly in the office while they continue their good work running the yard.
These new premises have also been a hit with our Reps, who can often be found working at the new offices and meeting with customers in the boardroom onsite. We look forward to your next visit to SafeSmart Access’s Auckland yard at 52 Cryers Road, East Tamaki, Auckland.
